The story is funny, clever, stupid, brilliant and so utterly bonkers I can't now begin to give any more of a review than this. We could even have dealt with zombies. So - it almost seems unnecessary to say this is brilliant - of course it is. He carries himself as excitable and optimistic, as a mask over his own loneliness and insecurity. When I was young I thought I had to read Douglas Adams, since he was so popular. Now he reaches back through time to the original source stories in a thrilling and vivid rendition of the great Norse tales.
It's sci-fi, it's mystery, it's comedy, and it's a ghost story all in one. The Rowdy 3, along with Panto and Bart, help to slow them down. Inside the ship they encounter elaborate and beautiful music that seems to be the result of the ship's computer system operation, similar to Richard's Anthem program. The book has been adapted for stage performance as and in 2005, some fans of Douglas Adams produced an amateur radio series based on the first book. The pizza place was closed. It might be because what I got was so different from what I expected but I just thought that this book was a complete mess and even when Adams is at his best, his writing is pretty thin. But the full book is so much better. I found myself distracted, and straining to listen through the very dominant ambient sound. I'm sure there are other pros you will recognize as well. Dirk Gently, detective and refrigerator wrestler, can uncover the mystery, and only the absurdist wit of Douglas Adams can recount them with such relentless humor.

Still, a good book for those interested in science-fiction, or absurdist humour. It appears the long version has been sold at this link in the past: This is a complicated novel, and to be able to understand it you really need to read it twice, or listen to it twice or more and I also needed to read a few blogs to really get it. The basic plot is that Richard McDuff is falsely accused of murder after his boss Gordon Way is slain outside his car. Not 100% sure about the story although it was quite fun.
