Not many mods use patcher. I think it appears in your load order unchecked the first time u run the skyproc patcher. Dual sheathing, including shield or staff on back, needs a special skeleton. See the description page for details. I used skyproc before no problemo, so this is a bummer. Hair and capes may have their own skeletons. If you promote piracy or seek help in modding a pirated game you will be banned. While there is no such thing as a fully clean save performing the following procedure will ensure there are no running scripts left in your save file.

New stand or sit idles are easy fixes, but dual sheathing or special body physics boob jiggle or combat require some extra steps.

There's your problem then, you have mods installed in 2 different locations. Seems like they could have done that behind the scenes somehow. The same will go for the left hand weapons of each version and thus using a mace with a sword will result in both being on the same side. Only include other options if you have the relevant mods. I guess that won't happen here.

It must be something obvious, but I'm missing it. If weapons work fine and this only happens with shields, go contact Neovalen on Dual Sheath Redux' nexus page. Naturally, the patch file must load after weapon and armor plugins. This should take you to the main user-interface screen. Optionally, install new skin texture now or later.
Recently I found time again to get back into Skyrim and was trying to add all the mods that I thought would make it fun. I have no idea why. Thanks again to everyone who helped. I did however at the start mess up the load order for nexus and loaded dual sheath redux first. The guide on this page is as simple and idiot-proof as possible. I think you do though, but it doesn't hurt to make for sure. If you have the knowledge to fix these types of problems, please message me.
