If you only want to start the game, to play it, without starting any mod launcher first, simply make your own shortcut. Apply each solution until your error is fixed! The amazing work of and has been transformed into a community project. I had to revert about three hours back to before I installed it to get a working save. And while the Halo and Star Wars customisation mods are great, CapnBubs keeps to the feel and does a great job of blending seamlessly with the rest of the game. On the note of fixing it, I now have a check so if that value fails to parse, it just skips the folder instead of blowing up. Thought I'd mention the solution in case anyone else is having issues - nothing sucks like finding one forum thread with the same question and 'nevermind I fixed it', heh.
How the heck do I get Windows to let me do things to this folder so the mod launcher can work again??? Is there a way to debug to see what is happening? And that is where we are now.
